Payment

50% deposit is required, the rest is due 120 days prior to your trip

 

Cancellation

$500 of your deposit is non refundable, the rest is refundable up till 120 days prior to your trip. Once payment is made in full, the trip is nonrefundable. 

We will allow you to ‘sell’ your spot to someone else for no charge if you can settle it amongst yourself.

We recommend all guests look into travel insurance in case of emergency cancellations

 

Required Gear

Guests must provide their own DOT certified motorcycle helmet, and motorcycle boots. 

 

Insurance and Injuries

We recommend all of our guests purchase a policy with the LifeFlight Network as well as look into travel insurance for any emergency situations.

 

 

FAQ

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All guests must agree to our waiver when booking a trip with us and provide a signature at the first point of check-in.

How much trail is around Gold Creek?

We have access to hundreds of miles of trail riding directly from GCL.

Where will we be riding?

Gold Creek Lodge sits on the border of the Coeur d’Alene and Kaniksu National Forests, both home to thousands of miles of single track.

What elevation will we be riding at?

Anywhere between 2200 feet and 6300 feet.

What is the weather like?

June is typically the coolest month, getting warmer through July and August. September usually cools off. Rain varies throughout the summer. It is always worth packing a rain shell.

How do we get to the lodge?

Our airport shuttle picks you up and drops you off directly at Spokane International Airport.

If providing your own transportation to and from the lodge, please make sure to get directions from us prior to your arrival date. 

What time should I arrive at the Spokane Airport on Wednesday?

Our airport shuttle picks guests up at 3PM on Wednesday. Please plan flights accordingly. Guests unable to meet this must arrange their own transportation.

When will we arrive at the Spokane Airport on Monday?

Our airport shuttle drops guests off at 11:30AM on Monday. Please plan flights accordingly. Guests unable to meet this must arrange their own transportation.

Can I bring my own bike?

Yes, we have a BYOBike package available. Contact us for pricing.

What if I break something on the bike?

We have two options: bike insurance for the week is $200 or you-break-it-you-buy-it. There are no other options.

When is the Gold Creek season?

Gold Creek operates from Memorial Day weekend until the end of September.

What kind of dirt bikes do you have?

For summer 2024, we will have a fleet of brand new 2024 KTM 300 XC-Ws for our guests.

What is the longest day we can do?

With the right planning, 100+ mile days of single track are possible.

What is the total acreage Gold Creek has access to?

Gold Creek Lodge has access to over 2.3 million acres of National Forest

What is the average daily mileage I should expect to cover?

45-70 miles, depending on group ability, and trail technicality

What does pricing include?

Prices include transportation to and from Spokane International Airport to the lodge, accommodations, food and drinks, dirt bike rental, and a trail guide. 

Do I have to pay for the whole trip upon booking?

To secure your spot, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is due 120 days prior to your trip.

Is it customary to leave a tip for our Gold Creek guides and staff?

We are in the service industry and tipping is always appreciated. We split tips evenly among our staff, unless a guest specifically mentions an employee, and can accept both cash and card tips. If your guide has to ride your bike through something, a little thank you doesn’t hurt.

Do you have laundry available on site?

Yes, we do have laundry facilities available to our guests.

Other than riding, what can guests do?

When the riding is done for the day, guests are welcome to hang out around the tavern, the shop, and the rest of the property. Throwing horseshoes, shooting pool, darts, cornhole, and lots more. 

What time are we riding in the morning?

Most days we are kickstands up by 9 and headed out. Most riding days are between 5-7 hours returning to the lodge at 2-4pm. Trail snacks and water are layed out each morning and appetizers/lunch are available upon return. Plans can vary based on group preference. 

Where do we stay?

Our rustic lodge offers nine double-occupancy rooms. All rooms have a TV, coffee maker, full bathroom, and a mini fridge. A gear drying room, ice machine, water bottle filling station, and laundry are all available in the center room of the lodge. 

Are meals included?

All meals are included in our tavern from Wednesday’s dinner to Monday’s breakfast. A breakfast buffet will be available every morning, as well as trail snacks for the day. Upon return from riding, appetizers and lunch are available, with a delicious and hearty dinner being served nightly. 

What ability level is required to ride at Gold Creek?

Dirt bikers should be comfortable with single track riding and mild exposure. We do have beginner friendly trails, but the majority of our riding caters to the intermediate to expert range. 

What do I need to bring

Required: a DOT certified motorcycle helmet and protective dirt bike boots

Recommended for riding:

knee pads, chest protector, gloves, goggles, rain shell

2 sets of riding gear (at least 1)

Around the lodge: 

Clothes for the lodge, both day and night, it gets chilly when the sun goes down. We recommend one or two pairs of pants, a pair of shorts, swim trunks, a hoodie or coat for when the sun goes down, and sun glasses for the lake

What do I wear on arrival day?

Comfortable travel clothes. The journey from the airport to GCL takes about 2.5 hours.

Is there internet or phone service at GCL?

We have limited wifi and cell service.
